What is Ascension?

Our Earth is increasing her energetic vibration rate. In other words, the Earth is ascending. This is affecting all her residents, like us, and many of us are experiencing the increase of our soul’s vibration rate. This is called Ascension or Light Ascension.

You don’t need to know the word Ascension or anything about it to ascend. You don’t need to be practicing any spiritual work such as meditation to ascend (although such practice can be tremendously helpful.)

When your soul’s vibration rate increases to a certain level, you may experience Ascension soul shift. I see this often in my Akashic Record Reading service. The existing soul completes its life lessons and a new soul, that comes from the same Higher Self, takes over. Again, this is a result of a combined effects of Earth’s Ascension and your personal spiritual development. It’s not all about you — there is grace brought by Earth.

What is Ascension soul shift?

Because the soul defines a big part of us, mentally, emotionally, and physically, the soul shift is a noticeable event. While each person experiences the shift differently, here is a list of common Ascension symptoms. You may experience all or some of them:

• Change in interests and aspirations. You are simply not interested in the people and things that kept your interest before. (Including disinterest in personal development or productivity hacks.)
• Inner need to detox, declutter, and simplify life.
• Strange wanderlust.
• Sudden spiritual “awakening”
• Change of food preference (many become vegetarian or even raw vegetarian)
• Change in sleep patterns
• Physical symptoms such as ringing in the ear, change in vision (sometimes daily), or strange itching and twitching around the body.
• Depression and anxiety are also common when the previous soul gets stuck, unable to move on after the new soul comes in.

The common theme in all these is that the change happens quite abruptly. It’s not something you planned or worked on to change.

I write about Ascension because there aren’t many resources out there to help people understand what is going on. If you went through these strange and unexplainable changes, don’t think you are crazy. I can help you. (Here is a list of other resources on Ascension that seem reliable to me.)

What will happen in 2012?

What will all these changes lead us to? I think we may be becoming lightbodies. Our physical body is a blessing, but it also presents various limitations. It may be time to evolve to something even better, which I call lightbody. In my understanding, lightbody can feed on light, not foods. And we can travel through time and space freely as lightbody.

Now a disclaimer: I haven’t seen my lightbody yet. All these things about Ascension and lightbody are still in the research level — I’ve been studying about them as I work with post Ascension soul shift clients and as I experiment with myself. Honestly, there are so many questions that remain open. I choose to write about Ascension, however, because even the ongoing research level information can be helpful, especially for those who are going through this or who are heading this way soon. Again, there aren’t many other helps available to the best of my knowledge.

Will Ascension complete in year 2012? Will there be a significant change to Earth in 2012? I don’t know. If anything is indeed happening, I think it’s a positive change. So I wrote my Creating the New World series.

What is Enlightenment?

Enlightenment has become such an ambiguous word. You might say my post is “enlightening”, and that would be a nice compliment, but I’m not sure if that enlightenment is the same as the enlightenment some people pursue in their spiritual development.

Here is my definition of Enlightenment. It is to realize the true nature of this thing we call “reality”. In other words, Enlightenment is about knowing we have the power to create. It is the ultimate freedom.

Ascension and Enlightenment are closely related, but I see them as separate. Enlightenment is a spiritual achievement. Ascension is the dynamic change that involves not just our soul but our body and mind. One helps the other to happen.

Action plan for Ascension

What can you do to move forward in your Ascension? Each post in the New World series on Love, Light, Truth, Abundance and Power has action plans at the end, so please check them out. Additionally, I suggest:

• Listen to your inner voice. Develop your intuition — it’s your best guidance.
• Your need to detox and declutter is real — don’t resist it.
• Eat closely to Earth. The Earth grows plants, (typically) small animals eat plants, then bigger animals eat the vegetarian animals. I feel much better since I became vegetarian (pretty much vegan).
• Take plenty of rest. Declutter not only your physical environment but also your life, and rest rather than doing non-critical activities.
• Let go of people who sucks up your energy.

Will the true YOU please step forward?

We define ourselves in various ways:

1.    I am (my name).
2.    I am (my work position, social status, etc.).
3.    I am (my life experiences).
4.    I am (my thoughts, or the thinking mind).
5.    I am (my soul or spirit).

#1 is just a label.  #2, like “I am a sales manager.” or “I am a mother.” is just the role you are playing at this time.  It’s pretty easy to see these are not the real YOU.

Some people are invested in their experiences and believe they are the sum or the result of their life  experiences.  “I was abused as a child and so I am incapable of building a healthy relationship.  This is me.” or “I am an American and so I live this way.”  But I don’t think human life is like a physics experiment. We have free will that allows us to go outside what our experiences define.

#4 is big.  Someone said, “I think therefore I am.”  If you don’t embrace the idea of the soul, I guess this is how you define yourself.  Pretty obviously, you know you are not just the body you can see and touch.  There is something within that does the thinking – your mind.  So you are the mind, or the combination of your body and mind.  (If you think the mind is just a function of the brain, then the mind is part of the body – still, you define yourself as the body / mind.)

Then there are those who believe in #5.  I use to think this way, too.  Our essence is the soul, or the spirit, that currently resides in the physical body.  The thinking mind is only a tool.  And when we die, the soul moves on, to eventually have another incarnation.

The idea seemed to work until I experienced Ascension soul shift myself.

Soul shifts and the Self

As Akashic Record Reading specialist, I read people’s soul records.  Most people live with one soul for the entirety of his or her life.  Or, rather, the soul lives its whole incarnation.

However, there are those who go through soul shifts. When this is the case, I can count exactly how many souls have been involved, the characteristics of each soul, and when the shift happened.  And as I wrote in that article, soul shifting itself is nothing new.  All varieties of soul shifts except the Ascension soul shift have been known for some time.

1. Ongoing soul shifts
2. One-time soul shifts, or walk-ins, including:

1)    Reinstatement soul shifts
2)    Complete possessions
3)    Placeholder soul shifts
4)    Special cases such as Pleiadean soul shifts
5)    Ascension soul shifts

In each case, we can take one of the two perspectives to the question “Who am I?”

1. I am the originally intended soul that was meant for me at birth.
2. I am the soul I have now.

With ongoing soul shifts, there is one soul that was the originally intended soul.  So although it was in the body only part of the time, we can say this is who he or she was meant to be.  Alternatively, we can also interpret this situation that whichever soul that is in the body at the given moment is the self – at the time.

Similarly, in reinstatement soul shifts, we can say the originally intended soul that gets “reinstated” is the real you even though another soul was residing in the body for a while.  It’s also valid to say that, when the other soul was residing in the body, that was you.

Complete possessions are sad cases.  The originally intended soul gets kicked out by a negative soul.  When this happens, I have to say the new soul is the you because there is no way to reverse the process.

Placeholder soul shifts are like reinstatement soul shifts but the first soul is a positive soul.  So again, you are the originally intended soul.  Or you can say the soul you had at the time is the real you.

How Ascension soul shifts differ from other soul shifts

However, Ascension soul shifts are different.  With Ascension soul shift, the first soul is the originally intended soul.  And the second soul is also intended – the shift is orchestrated somehow.

The repeatedly asked question about Ascension soul shift is “Why does this have to happen?  What happens to the first soul?  What happens to my spiritual development that I have accomplished as my first soul through many lifetimes?”

I sensed there was something bigger or higher than the soul that is still an individual, the ME, that was orchestrating these soul shifts.  These soul shifts were not some random take over.  At least the second soul knew the first soul and what was going on.  But what is this “bigger or higher” something?

Here is my current understanding as I figured by communicating with my Akashic Record Guides.

The Source, the energy, and the soul

First there was the Source, the Source of all energy.  The whole, therefore perfect, energy.  Then it split part of it to create individualized forms of itself.  Basically, it wanted to play.  It was hard to play as a single existence ever, so it split itself to be many existences.

For now, let’s call these split energies “X’s”.

Some X’s became stars and planets.  Most other X’s became residents of these star systems.  Then they traveled around.  Eventually some came to Earth, which is just another creation.

To live in the physical bodies on Earth, X’s split part of themselves to form souls in much the same manner the Source split itself to be X’s.  Perhaps most X’s split out just one soul and watched over how it goes.

The soul lived in one body.  When the body was done, the soul crossed over to the other side for a temporary rest, and eventually came back to live another lifetime.  This went on and on for millenniums of time.  All the while the X of the soul was watching over its progress.

Ascension is the new game

Recently planet Earth and its residents decided to work out a new game plan.  We have gone through plenty of lifetimes and saw the various different sides of life.  We have done enough of the “learning by contrast” game.  More and more of us are reaching the point that we can possibly reach as the existing soul.  So we are going to change the matrix itself.  We are going to do this Ascension.
Ascension is about increasing the vibration rate.  For many of us, the souls we’ve had were good souls that were intended for each of us at birth, but they can go up only to a certain level of vibration rate.  So our X’s decided to upgrade.  Each X created another soul from itself and sent it to us.  This is Ascension soul shift.

Because the new soul originates from the same X, it is the same type, same background group and training.  It just vibrates higher and has no physical past life.

Meet X, your Higher Self

Now the issue of terminology.  This is where things get sticky because it’s quite possible that person A uses the term to mean something different from what person B means with the same term.

For me, X is my Higher Self.  My Higher Self came directly from the Source, and it infuses part of it to form my soul in much the same way the Source infused part of it to form my Higher Self.  My Higher Self can create many souls if it wants.

It’s like making photocopies.  Any number of souls can come from the Higher Self.  Once the soul is created and incarnates in the physical body, it gets its own experiences.  Like you can write memos on one of the photocopies.  We’ve got too many scribbles on our copies (souls) that we decided to start anew with a fresh copy.

Who am I really?

So there are higher levels of answers to the first question, “Who am I?”

6.    I am (my Higher Self).
7.    I am God, the Source, or – just, I am.

Does this make sense to you?  It does to me, so I concluded my communication with my guides.

A note in communication with spirit guides

If you are interested in trying this yourself, here is a brief cautionary note.  Spirits use your existing frame of reference to give you ideas.  So the analogy you get may well be different from mine.

Plus they are quite practical in their teaching.  They know there are levels of understanding.  Say, Newton’s law of gravity may or may not work in Einstein’s world, but if your understanding of physics is high school level (like most of us), they are not going to mention Einstein.  They know that would just complicate things unnecessarily.  So they tell you the law of gravity as Newton figured it out.  If you work for NASA, on the other hand, you may get a different response.  Both are, in a sense, “right” answers.

The answers I received make sense to me and so it’s good for me.  For now.  When my spirituality evolves further, I might get a new answer that may seem to contradict to what I know now.  Just a possibility.

Ascension is a process to be one with God, or to be God

So the Ascension process promotes higher awareness of who we really are.  We are not just our souls that goes  through many lifetimes.  We are our Higher Selves that are looking over all these experiences.

Further, we are the Source.  We are God, the Creator.  The split part is essentially the same in quality with the original.  It’s a smaller individualized version, but like a piece of holograph, it has all the power and information of the original.

It gets really hard to “know” who I am at this level.  It’s like trying to see my own nose.  Not by the reflection on the mirror, but trying to see my nose itself.  We are not quite capable of doing this.  Likewise, after rigorous examination of who I am, seemingly ironically, I reach a point where I say, “I just am.”  Everything and everyone are part of me, appearing to be different for the fun of it.

How do you identify yourself?  Are you using the power that comes from realizing you are the Source?

Soul shifts

There are two kinds of soul shifts depending on the logistics of the shifts:

1. Ongoing soul shifts
2. One-time soul shifts, or walk-ins

Further, #2 one-time soul shifts can be categorized depending on the nature of the soul shifts:

1. Reinstatement soul shifts
2. Complete possessions
3. Placeholder soul shifts
4. Special cases such as Pleiadean soul shifts
5. Ascension soul shifts

Souls determine who you are, so when the soul shifts, you experience significant changes, such as changes in personality and your taste / preferences of foods, etc.  You may also experience physical changes such as allergies or pain (headache, etc) that are associated to one of the soul.

Ongoing soul shifts

Ongoing soul shifts involves two or more souls that come in and out of the body, back and forth.  Because a body can house only one soul at any given moment, when a soul makes its way into the body, the soul that has been in there before gets kicked out.  With ongoing soul shifts, the previous soul(s) attempt to get back to the body and they do.

This is extremely harmful and confusing both to the person and the people around him or her.  Usually one or more of the souls involved are negative souls, or darkworker souls.  The frequency of the shifts can vary from, say, daily to monthly or even annually.  This soul shifts can be stopped, and it’s a service I offer in my Akashic Record Reading.

I suspect at least some of the psychiatric patients may be suffering from this ongoing soul shift.  But ongoing soul shifts don’t necessarily look like psycho – it may be less pronounced as the host may be used to it and may have worked out a way to minimize its effects.

One-time soul shifts – Reinstatement soul shifts

One-time soul shifts are just that – one soul replaces the soul that has been in the body, period.  The five categories are about the nature of the shift.

A person can have multiple one-time soul shifts progressively.  The difference from ongoing soul shifts is that the previous souls do not get back to the body with one-time soul shifts.

When a soul is ready to incarnate in the physical body, it chooses the birth setting, comes to this side of the world, and starts nurturing the egg.  It actually gets in the body at the baby’s first breath.  Sometimes, however, another soul (usually a negative soul) pushes aside the soul that has been nurturing the new baby and gets in the body instead.

There are many, many souls hanging around and looking for a nice house – I mean, a body.  So although relatively rare, this kind of unfortunate event can happen.

Eventually, the originally intended soul may get a chance to come in the body.  I don’t know what enabled the soul to do this.  It is not something I can do for my clients, but I get clients who have had this happen before.  For these people, their childhood seems like someone else’s childhood.  Quite literally, it was.

“Reinstatement” soul shift is a term I just coined.  Not sure if the word describes the situation well because the originally intended soul was not quite established in the body – it was nurturing the new baby, but it gets in the body for the first time at the soul shift.  So if someone can think of a better term, please let me know.

Complete possessions

While most of the reinstatement soul shifts are about a positive soul getting in or taking over the negative soul, possessions are the other way around – a negative soul takes over the original soul, that are usually positive souls.

When this happens, it is not something I can fix or reverse.  I can clear negative entities in partial possession, but once the complete shift happens, whether to a positive or negative soul, then it is done.

Placeholder soul shifts

As I explained above, the soul nurtures the new baby and gets in the body at the first breath.  This is a critical and exciting moment for the soul.  Some souls, however, step back at this important moment.  It suddenly realizes it’s not ready for the challenges of the physical world.  Yeah, kind of like someone who doesn’t show up at their wedding.

Because a body can’t live without a soul (the soul is the life energy), this would result in a complete waste.  So another soul kindly volunteers to work as a placeholder until the originally intended soul is ready.  When it is ready, the transition of soul shift happens.

Both souls are probably positive souls but with different backgrounds.  So my clients who have had this kind of soul shift say they went through a significant change at the time.

Special cases of one-time soul shifts

There are other scenarios of the soul shifts.  For example, there is a group of souls from the Pleiades.  Many Pleiadean souls, however, left Earth recently (by recently I mean the 10 years period starting about 15 years ago ending about 5 years ago).  Long story short, those who had Pleiadean souls before are living with another soul after the original Pleiadean souls left.

There are various special cases soul shifts and the Pleiadean soul shifts are just one example.

Ascension soul shifts

Ascension soul shifts are another special kind of one-time soul shifts or walk-ins.  I can think of the following points how this is special:

1. The new soul (the second soul) is the same kind (same origination and primary training) of the original, first soul.
2. The new soul is a brand new soul that came directly from the ether and has no past lives. It is also a very advanced soul.
3. The shift is somehow orchestrated.  It’s not a haphazard take over nor a replacement of the first soul that was not planned to be there – at least the second soul knows the first soul and walks in when the first soul completes its learning.
4. It seems to happen only to adults.
5. It seems to be happening to increasingly more people these days.  While there were some forerunners in earlier years, it’s happening in big numbers since December 2008.  Which makes me think this is to some extent a group action, likely related to planetary shift.
6. Some individuals go through successive Ascension soul shifts.

I’ve already wrote about this Ascension soul shift (this is a term I coined, too) and its relation to planetary change that may reach critical mass in 2012, so please read that article.

Potential problems of soul shifts

Even when the soul shift is a positive one in nature, such as the placeholder soul shifts or Ascension soul shifts, there can be problems.  The previous souls that have completed their jobs get out of the body but are stuck there, unable to move on to cross over to the other side.  This can be really annoying to the new soul in the body.  I can clear this and it’s in full alignment with both souls’ highest good.

Ongoing soul shift is also I can take care of in my Akashic Record Reading service, as I mentioned earlier.

I want Ascension!

There are a lot of things I want in life.  Nice place to live, a loving boyfriend, great friends, hot sex, plenty of time to relax and enjoy myself. . . but there is nothing I want more than Ascension.  More than all of the above combined.

And it’s kind of silly because I don’t know exactly what it’s all about.  I just know this is something wonderful.  Unprecedented-level wonderful.

It’s not so long ago when I first heard of Ascension, in relation to enlightenment and 2012.  Back then, most important thing for me was to complete my life lessons.  If I complete my life lessons and die, that’s great, but if I don’t complete them, I’d have to repeat the learning process one more time at another lifetime.  That sucks.  So I worked on my learning fervently without really thinking what may await me after I complete them.  Then I heard of Ascension.

That was like getting the last piece of a puzzle or a key to the next level of journey.  All the things I had to go through in this life, all the ups and downs, fell into place.  I am ascending, and I am here to help others ascend.

Since I published my first article on Ascension and soul shifting, I have worked with quite a few clients who are going through this process.  It’s brilliant.

Free will and our spiritual evolution

There is, however, one thing I want to note for those who are afraid of Ascension.  If you absolutely don’t want Ascension soul shifting, I’m sure you can reject it.  I know Spirits always respect our free will.

Everyone I know who has had Ascension soul shift were open to spiritual evolution.  They may not have been expecting soul shifting because they didn’t even know about the concept, but they were open to all kinds of possibilities.

So please rest assured and stay where you are if that is what you want from the soul level.  Each of us is on a unique path, and I, like the great Spirit, respect your free will.

More questions about Ascension soul shifts

1. Isn’t it more appropriate to consider this change as the evolution of the one same soul?

My specialty as a psychic medium (I don’t necessarily like this term – I’m more reliable and real than what you may think as psychics) is to read people’s soul records, called Akashic Records.  I can count how many souls are involved in a soul shifting situation, tell you when or how often the shift happens, the characteristics of each soul, etc.

So I know the difference between a single soul’s evolution and soul shifting.  It also makes sense to consider this change as soul shifting because then it can explain the problem and its symptoms of the first soul getting stuck, which happens often.

2. Other psychics can’t read me.  Why?

The new soul you receive at Ascension soul shift is a very advanced soul, vibrating at very high dimensions.  By “very”, I mean the kind of level that I never heard of until this year.

There are a lot of discussions about how many higher dimensions there are and how we can measure them.  As an existence living in the third dimensional physical world, this discussion is very tough.  So, for now, I’m just accepting what my spirit guides tell me.

What we do know for sure is that a being in higher dimension has no problem accessing and understanding the lower dimensions, but not the other way around.  We have no problem understanding the two dimensions of length and width.  However, if there were beings that only  exist in 2D world, they wouldn’t understand the third dimension of height.

So, a psychic can only read for clients that are vibrating at the same level or lower than herself.  If they try to read for clients who are vibrating higher than themselves, well . . . they either don’t understand what they are getting or they don’t get anything.  At this point, the honest thing to do is just say “I don’t know”, but many people have problem saying these three little words.

It’s also possible that the psychic is vibrating high enough but doesn’t have the proper frame of reference.  We use our existing frame of reference to understand all incoming information, including spiritual messages.  So if the psychic doesn’t know about soul shifts or Ascension, she may not understand what she is getting.  (And here is me offering the info to all willing individuals.  Free and available 24/7 worldwide.  How’s that?)

By the way, while we have hard time understanding higher dimensions, it is possible to observe glimpses of the higher dimensions.  They are called synchronicities, spiritual revelations, or miracles.

3. How can I have Ascension soul shift?

I don’t know.  I don’t think you or I or anyone can cause it.  It happens when the timing is ripe.

I assume working on your life lessons and spiritual growth will accelerate the process.

This year, I launched my Spirit Guides Coaching, and so far, all the clients of this program have had Ascension soul shifts during or soon after the course.  This makes me think.

And while I can’t make it happen, I can often sense it’s coming.  I can say it’s likely to happen in certain timeframe.  (Just to be clear, this is not a prediction.  Our future depends on our action and free will.  I can only say certain likelihood.)

With the recent realization of what life is like once you reach a certain point of your spiritual development, I’d like to amend my article on life purpose.

As I explained in the aforementioned post, once you reach this point of spiritual growth, you are in a whole different ball game.  Using the same analogy I used in that article, you are now sailing on the big wild ocean, fast and free.  The rules and principles that applied to you while you were pushing your boat on the beach simply do not work any longer.  The concept of life lessons is one of them.

Life as school to learn our life lessons

Previously, we were to learn a set of life lessons through various life experiences.  We chose these life lessons ourselves prior to incarnation, so it wasn’t like someone was pushing their agenda to us.  Yet the learning was often challenging.  Many of us inadvertently chose negative learning experiences and progressed ever so slowly.    Life was just like a school.

I remember how it was because it wasn’t so long ago I worked hard on this whole life lesson thing.  I was so fervent – nothing was more important for me than learning and completing my life lessons.  The way I saw it – and still do for those who are at this stage of development – is that, if I fail to learn my life lessons in this lifetime, I would have to come back to work on them again, like repeating the same grade in a school.  That surely sucks.  So do whatever to learn them.

My primary life lesson was integration.  I had learned much in my many past lives, and in this life as well, and I was to put everything in coherent context.  Like “Spiritual Healing and Growth for Greater Success”, connecting spirituality and worldly success that many people see as completely separate and even incompatible.  I was to bring the value of unification.  (I don’t know why my spirit guides used this business-like word “unification” rather than more nicey words like “accord” or “harmony”, but that is what they said.)  If you check my posts in December to early January, you can see this learning trend and my passion.

And then it happened. I still don’t know exactly how it happened – evidently I completed my life lessons and reached a point of my spiritual growth, plus there was a grace of the higher “tide”, the planetary change that is benefiting quite a few of us.  I got a new soul.

What it is like once you reach this point of spiritual development

Again, it is a completely different game after this point of spiritual growth.  By now, I have read the Akashic Records of eight individuals who have had this shift, and all confirm the same pattern.  And one of the characteristic of it is that there are no more life lessons.

We have completed the life lessons and graduated from the school of life.  From here, we are completely free and our life purpose is simply to be who we are. No pre-determined life lessons.  Life is not a school any more, but more like a playground.

Since there is no more learning needs, there is no point in trying.  Many people talk about the importance of doing rather than trying, but they only try really hard not to try.  Too complicated.  Once the life lessons drop, however, there is indeed no trying.  We just are.  And we do whatever comes to us naturally and joyously, and this is how we grow even further spiritually.

If you think that kind of “selfish” acts would bring all kinds of havocs and disorders to this world, you are not at the level of spiritual development I am talking about.  It’s okay, take your time.

Another notable characteristic after the shift is there is no more need for healing.  All the new souls I’ve observed are brand-new souls with no past, so there are no energetic blocks and restrictions from the past.  So no need for healing.  All you do is to keep it clean.  Stay away from negativity.  You are not interested in it anyway.

Let me summarize what the new game is like:

• No “learning” of life lessons
• No seeking
• No trying
• No healing, fixing, repairing of the past
• Just be.  Do what delights you and manifest spontaneously.

A few suggestions for those who reached this point of spiritual development

You are probably feeling a significant internal change.  The sudden loss (or more like an evaporation) of your sense of direction, which was so clear and strong before, may feel awkward.  You may also find it difficult to relate to many of your former interests and your friends you were connected through these interests.  Because you are not in the learning of your former life lessons any longer.

My advice is to take it easy.  You are perfectly okay.  And:

1. Feel free NOT to read the kind of books and blogs that don’t hold your interest.  Most personal development books are written for those who are pushing their boat on the beach and so they are not for you any longer.
2. Purge unnecessary stuffs (like those books) from your living environment and simplify your life.
3. Same with interpersonal relationships.  You don’t have to actively break your existing relationships – when you just let things go, only the relationships that are still relevant to the new you will stay and others will fall off on their own.
4. Keep moving forward in your spiritual development.  But know that the way you move forward from here on will be very different from the way you have been “working on” it.  From here on, it’s truly about being.  Enjoy your being.  Be confident in putting your unique wonderful self first.

A few suggestions for those who are not there yet

Don’t despair.  This is not exactly a race.  You are evolving in your own way at your own pace.  And some people are paving your way – nice and kind, right?

Having said this, may I suggest:

1. Have some quiet time alone.  Daily.  This helps you to focus your energy on yourself rather than continuously comparing yourself to others.  Meditation, in the big sense, is a good idea.
2. Learn to be honest to yourself.  Don’t second guess and resist change when you know deep inside you want it.  Whatever that change may be.
3. Do work on your life lessons.  This is about achieving the energetic quality within you.  It’s more about internal work than external work of doing although some doing is perhaps helpful to recognize who you are on the inside.
4. Whatever you do, don’t pretend that you are already “there”.  This is not about “psyching up”.  It has little to do with the thinking mind anyway.

Some commented they are afraid of this soul shift.  There is really nothing to be afraid about it (as long as the first soul moves on properly and the shift is complete.  I have to report this may be quite difficult because all the cases I’ve seen had this problem of the previous soul getting stuck and causing discomfort).

If you are afraid, that is your ego talking.  The ego is the part of our thinking mind who makes judgments based on existing knowledge and experiences.  So of course, the ego is afraid of everything new.  The ego wants to hold onto everything it has now.  But you are not your ego.

I must say it feels really good out here.  It’s like all (or at least most) of the clouds are magically gone.  Love and freedom have new meanings for me.  So come join me ^_^

I have received quite a few questions and comments about my last post Soul Shifting And the Light Ascension Of Maybe 2012.   I tried to be as complete as possible, but hey, I am just a human and I guess there were several points I was not clear enough.  So in this post, I supplement that article – let me use the simple Q&A format. Questions are drawn from the post comments, email, etc. and simplified for the sake of readability.  (Photo by exper)

1. Are you saying we should aspire to have soul shifting in our spiritual evolution?

No.  First of all, I don’t talk about things in terms of should’s.  Should is a fantasy word.  We either do it or we don’t.  Overall, I am surprised how so many comments came with “should” and “have to”.  We are free creators, you know.

Second, at least for me, this soul shifting was not something I “tried” to get or “worked toward”.  It happened to me.  On the soul level, I guess things were orchestrated somehow and my Higher Self agreed on this, but it didn’t come to my knowledge until it was so close to happen and someone let me know.  (She does not wish to be identified here, and I understand that.)

I have been diligently and passionately working on my spiritual development, however, and I’d like to think this shift came along with it.

2. Is this soul shift a necessary process of our spiritual evolution and Ascension?

Honestly, I don’t know.  As I clearly stated, I don’t even know what this Ascension is all about – I doubt if anyone does.

A variation of this question is “Why would our souls have to shift in our bodies if the point of our soul existence is to continually grow and expand?”  Again, I don’t know why or if it is a “have to” issue.  I get that the first soul crosses over and continues its own evolution somehow.  But I don’t really know – mine is gone

My analogy of changing elevators to reach the higher floors was meant to illustrate the situation.  I don’t know if this is the necessary step or not.  Maybe there are elevators that go all the way up.  What I said is I changed elevators.

3. If the soul shifts, who am I after the shift?

Great question.  You got me.  I guess that depends on how you define the “I”.  To me, I am always the soul I have, and the notion expands to my Higher Self, to my superconscious, that ultimately connects me to the Whole.

But again, you got me.  If you want to criticize, this is the weak spot, so aim here.  All I know is I just feel different, so fundamentally different, and I am also going through other significant changes in my life.

4. Why is the second soul a fresh soul with no past?

I don’t know.  I just shared what I observed. I do want to make sure that we are clear about the difference between the soul’s age (number of physical incarnations) and the soul’s level of evolution (vibration rate).  “Older and wiser” is a nice expression, and within a single soul’s evolution, that may be the case.  However, when we talk about two or more souls, older doesn’t necessarily mean wiser.  A fresh new soul with no past lives can be a very advanced soul and it may have been in the ether eons of time.

Personally, I like my new soul very much.  It is just so happy simply being around.  I feel like a kid in adult body.  My old soul was a good one, of course, but was kinda getting tired after so many lifetimes, including cruel persecution.  I am glad it is taking a rest somewhere.

5. Why did you write something you didn’t completely understand?  Isn’t that irresponsible?

Usually, I write only after I acquire significant understanding of the subject.  I do think this is the responsible attitude.

However, this case was exceptional.  Things were happening fast, I believe it is happening fast, and to more people than I initially thought was involved.  This was the kind of case in which sharing of the moment mattered.  At least to some people.  And I trust those who need this info will be guided to read it.

Let me ask you:  When Chernobyl accident happened, the then Soviet government refrained from releasing the information “because they didn’t know the whole truth yet and didn’t want to cause social unrest” or something in that line.  Was that an honest thing to do?  Was it kind?  Intelligent?

And I made it super clear at the very beginning of that article that this is a special case.  I wrote “I do not know or understand everything about this – this is something totally new to this world, and I am learning as I go.  Still I guess it is more beneficial for the highest good of all to share what I know now rather than withhold it.”

You can take it or leave it.  If you don’t understand the post, you probably don’t need it.

6. But isn’t it no good to scare people with potentially wrong information?

Well, the above Chernobyl analogy was a scary one, but I don’t think my article was scary.  I clearly wrote this is a positive move.

The responses I received so far fall into one of the following four categories:

1. “Wow, this explains what I’ve been feeling!  Thank you so much, Akemi.”
   Variation of this is “Maybe this is relevant to me . . . I’m not sure.”
2. “Well, I don’t know what to make of this, but it’s an interesting read.”
3. “I don’t agree with you, Akemi.  I think you are wrong.”  This comes in varying degree from simple disagreement to nagging discontent.  The latter, I will address in #7.
4. “You are crazy.”

Readers #1 received good value from the post.  Wonderful.  Readers #2 at least had fun reading.  Okay.  Readers #3 are fine with me.  I don’t need everyone to agree with me.  I still love you.  Readers #4 are also fine with me.  I sort of expected this kind of response and put cautionary note in the beginning.  And it was about my psychic ability in general, not about soul shifting.

What I haven’t received is a comment in the line of “OMG, I am so scared!  What the hell are you talking about?”  On the contrary, some people, even the #2 kind who don’t quite take the idea, appreciated my sharing.  Thank you.

By the way, before I published that article, I had a personal communication with one of my clients.  In that email communication, I did unintentionally scare him.  Again it was unintentional, but I didn’t craft my email properly, and that is part of the reason I wrote that article to provide more complete idea.  Fragment of idea can be misleading, more complete idea of what is going on leads to healthy understanding.  And I have apologized to this person and believe my apology has been accepted.

I have also made another mistake with someone else and learned a valuable lesson.  This was related to that article, but the person was not scared by the article.  She was intrigued by the article and personally emailed me.  Because we’d been friends and exchanged readings before, I went ahead to check her status with the intention to help.  But this was stepping into her boundary for her, and I understand her view.  She also got scared about the prospect of having soul shifting and got upset.  I have since apologized to her repeatedly.

I acknowledge I am not always at my best and make mistakes.  Especially with this one being so urgent, and I being so excited, I made a few off-line in my attempt to help.  And I guess someone could be scared – by that article or by a shadow on the wall, for that matter.  Having said this, I really don’t think that blog post promotes fear.

7. But that whole idea of soul shifting and Ascension just doesn’t make sense!

When we observe something that we don’t understand, we can take one of the following two approaches:

1. Accept it is happening, come up with a hypothesis, verify if the hypothesis works.  Then collect more data, verify or adjust the hypothesis.  This is the scientific approach.
2. Write off because “it just doesn’t make sense” in the existing theory. This is not scientific, it is authoritative.

Approach #2 is convenient and works well with many cases in daily life.  You can cop out a lot of things with this approach and save your time and “dignity”.  (I put “ “ around dignity because I think this is a false dignity.)  The problem is it may not be in truth.

Galileo’s opponents had beautiful “scientific” theory that had been approved by authority since the Aristotle time.  Darwin, Einstein, and so many others went through similar challenges.  But theory does no good if it doesn’t work.  Which is more useful:

1. A big beautiful theory that doesn’t explain what is going on.
2. An incomplete theory, or maybe just a collection of ideas, that has the potential to explain what is going on.

I take #2 and move forward.

To those of you who has tried to dissuade me, I have a question: Why is it that you need me to agree with you?  What’s causing so much discomfort to you?

Don’t you know you are already loved?  And needing others to agree with you is not in alignment with Divine Truth – it is disempowering to you, not to me.  I am open to all possibilities.  If someone has another idea that better explains what is going on, I am all ears.  But so far, no one has really suggested alternative interpretation that explains what I and at least several other people I know have experienced.

One of them was so wise that he didn’t just take my word but verified it in his own way as seen in the comment of that article.  Outstanding.  That is the attitude.

So don’t “believe” me.  Ultimately, there is only one authority in the Universe, and that is the creative energy of the Universe itself, which we sometimes call God, or Divine Source, or the Divine Intention, etc.

Also, I want to clarify something.  There has been an argument regarding what is appropriate to do in reading.  This is a critical yet somewhat fuzzy issue, and I’m afraid I may have made some inconsistent statements, so let me clarify.  I read my clients’ Akashic Records.  These are people who have given me permission to do this by sending me their personal info.  I also read for the people significant in my clients’ lives – this is what Snapshot Reading is all about.  We are allowed to access the Akashic Records of those who are important to us – our family, close friends, significant romantic partners, significant persons in our career life, etc. whether they give explicit permission or not.   I also read those who are significant to myself, again with or without their permission, when I see their influence on me is significant.
