Online Gratitude Journal June 2009 Edition #30

gratitude
I just had a mini revelation. Perhaps I’ll develop this into full article in the future, but here is the heads-up: (Photo by Mr. Greenjeans)

Occasionally I receive emails from people who want “free” readings, and I’ve wondered why. Is psychic reading typically offered free and I’m violating the rule? Hmm, no, there are plenty of psychics who ask for far more than I do. Is it because they don’t think I’m worth their money? But if so, why do they ask me for reading ever?

Is it because they don’t have money? This may seem right, but then, it hit me: It’s because they don’t pay the due that they are poor. They don’t pay what is due, so what is rightfully theirs don’t come their way in their life. They believe they don’t have the money so that is how they are. Look at the energetic exchange (or the lack thereof, in this case), and it’s quite plain and simple.

I’m not advocating to spend lots of money. When I receive bills that I don’t agree, I go after the merchant and straighten things up. I do advocate paying properly. Sometimes I pay more than the bill my, say web designer, charges me. With gratitude. Because I think the work was worth it.

If you want to be treated well for who you are, treat others well. (Plus there are plenty of articles in this blog’s archive about how to start a business and make money ;) )

June in Review

As promised in last month’s Gratitude Journal, I wrote about love and sex — and was discouraged with the low level of comments. Okay . . . if my readers don’t like this topic, maybe I’ll write about something else. But are you sure? I was ready to write more juicy stuffs . . .

I started writing about various starseeds groups. This is going to be a long series. I don’t think there are sufficient information about this, so I take it to my responsibility to write about it.

Fun

In 12 Steps To Raw Foods, Victoria Boutenko, the leading raw foods advocate, writes about a few other healthy habits beside eating raw. One of them is sleeping naked. She cites several studies and maintains sleeping naked promotes surface circulation. (I guess, then, being naked anytime is good, but we need to balance healthy habits with social life requirements. Plus it can be too cold outside the bed.)

Well, the weather is warm, this is the best time to try this. I do think I sleep better this way. Plus it feels good. (My sheets are 100% organic cotton.)

Victoria Boutenko also recommends jumping into cold water, sleeping on hard surface, keeping windows open for fresh air, etc. I started taking cold shower occasionally and try to keep the windows open. Not sure if I can keep doing this in winter, but for now, it works.

Challenges

Blog marketing, I guess. I simply don’t have time to go around promoting my blog. I love writing, and many articles here will be included in the book I hope to publish about Ascension and Akashic Records, so with or without large audience, this blog is very meaningful to me. At the same time, I wish I had more readers. Writing gets lonely sometimes, and there is nothing like reading comments at such time.

Lucky Synchronicities

For this, I’d like to record the great synchronicities I experience in my life. It confirms the benevolent mystery of life :)

Saturday evening, June 13th. I went out walking to my local supermarket. It’s 15 minutes walk and I find it to be a good way to exercise. There is sidewalk all along lined with lots of trees and flowers.  When I was leaving home, the sky was mildly overcast but it didn’t seem like it would rain any time soon.

I bought some mangos and grapefruits and came out of the store to find rain pouring down. Haven’t I learned the lesson of living in Oregon yet? It can rain any time. The sky changes in 10 minutes.

So . . . I was standing outside the store. Do I want to walk back in rain and just pretend I went swimming? Shall I wait until it clears up?

It was dark with the severe rain, but I noticed the car in the parking lot. Hey, that gray Scion is just like my friend’s. Is she here shopping, too?

I stood there looking around for several minutes. She did come out from the store, looking surprised to see the rain and me.

I got the ride home. I’m lucky. My spirit guides work hard for me. Thank you.

Where in the blogosphere Akemi has been

I’ve always been interested in eating healthy and mindfully.  Here are two videos that inspire you.

First one — by the end of this short video, foods start to look different to you, I hope.

And here is a movie trailer about the miracle of eating raw. It reversed diabetes in 30 days. (HT: Evita)

A year ago at Yes to Me

I started this Gratitude Journal series a year ago. Over the course of the year, I’ve changed the format and posting frequency, but all in all, I think this is a great way to share a bit of my personal side. Namaste.

I personally like “Embrace The Big Questions Worth Spending Your Life For”. It’s about how “quick and easy” answers deprive the joy of living.

Word of month

“Cultivate a sense of gratitude for your food. Each time we remember to eat with awareness, we return to that place of inner peace.”

By earthmother. I learn a lot from her blog about eating raw, which I think has a lot to do with spiritual development. Thank you!

Thank you for your readership and comments, as always ^_^ I hope you are enjoying the warm weather.

Are You Afraid Of Finding Bad Things In Your Akashic Records?

“I want to have your Akashic Record Reading but I’m afraid of finding something bad. . .” I’ve received several emails in this line, so it’s time to clarify.  (Photo Credit)

It’s a good idea to approach Akashic Record Reading and the higher knowledge it offers with sincerity rather than curiosity. You may feel a bit nervous about it. That’s okay. That said, I don’t consider any reading to be “bad”. Let me explain.

Trauma and energetic issues

In the past life part of my Akashic Record Reading, traumatic events such as murders, rapes, and wars do show up occasionally. Human history is filled with horrible events. For example, I’ve worked with a client who, in their past life, was Jewish who was killed in the Nazi camp. I’ve also worked with a client who was a Nazi member. (Just for clarification — the latter soul is a positive soul. This soul made the mistake of joining the group and staying there. It carried hundreds of curses, among other issues.) Or persecution or witch trial. And sometimes it’s less dramatic — say, a life as a poor manual laborer ending in disease, that was probably related to malnutrition.

I don’t discuss these “bad” experiences to scare off my clients, however. I bring them up because they are related to the energetic issues that are affecting my clients to this day. And all the energetic issues can be taken care of.

For the clearing of such energetic issues, it’s essential the client understand how they started and how they are affecting their current life. Their awareness and intention to clear the issue are what make the clearing effective.

Which is worse for you, having the energetic issues and not knowing what is happening really or finding them out and taking care of them?

Physical exam and Akashic Record Reading

It’s like getting the physical exam. Which is better, not to get the physical and stay ignorant of your condition or to get the physical, learn about your health issues, and take care of them? Now with the physical, there are conditions that are supposed to be incurable. (I say “supposed to be” because, even when the conventional medical doctors say so, I doubt if it is true.) So there is still a good reason to be scared. But with the energetic issues, we have solutions.

But, you may say, isn’t it better to have a clean Akashic Records? Of course. If you already have energetic issues, however, there is no point ignoring them.

So I don’t consider any “bad” events in the Akashic Records to be bad. They are what happened before. I don’t go into too much details, just enough to promote my clients’ understanding.

Negative souls

This may not what the inquirer had in their mind, but another “bad” news in the Akashic Record Reading is when the client is a negative soul.

By negative soul, I don’t mean bad people, however. It means the soul is not evolving toward the life-giving Source. It’s not a judgment call, it’s technical. A negative soul may be obviously negative or manipulative, or they may look like lightworkers, doing good deeds or even spiritual development.

Negative souls usually come to my practice to get rid of the annoying conditions such as ongoing soul shifting or facade devices that hinder them to see themselves as they are. They may not consciously think this is what they want, but I believe every soul that comes my way has a reason.

By clearing these issues, they have a better chance to come back to Light. I cannot force them to come back to Light because that would be a violation of their free will. But I hope my reading serves as a turning point.

I understand it is quite shocking for these clients to hear that they are moving backwards, away from the Light. I’m sorry, I just don’t have any other way to tell you. I cannot brown nose these clients because that would be bending the truth. If I do such thing, I may lose my privilege to enter the Hall of Akashic Records. Moreover, it won’t serve the client truthfully.

For me as a practitioner, the challenge is explaining the situation and how much clearing we can do. If a soul is not evolving toward Light, I just cannot go into their past lives. That is not the option in the Hall of Akashic Records, and it wouldn’t help the client, either.

Think about a car moving the wrong way on the freeway. The first thing that needs to happen is this car turns around. It’s not a time for a tuneup.

With spirituality, the direction is less obvious, and there are quite many souls moving the wrong way, but still, moving the wrong way is moving the wrong way.

I’ve seen a few cases where a negative soul became positive. Light is always available to everyone. So this is not necessarily a “bad” reading, either.

Do you have any questions about Akashic Records? I’ve done hundreds of readings and would be happy to answer your question. Please write in the comment.

Sexual Orientation And Akashic Records

June 24, 2009 by · 3 Comments

love love

One client, who identified himself as gay, asked, “Does our soul have anything to do with our sexual orientation?” It’s an interesting question.

I will first discuss this issue as Akashic Record Reading specialist. Then let me share my personal view about sexual orientation and how unreasonably GLBT individuals are treated even today.  (Photo Credit)

Male and female energy in a soul

On the physical level, we are born with male or female genes, which show up as different hormonal levels and physical shapes.

On the soul level, we all have more or less of male and female energy. A soul may be predominantly male, predominantly female, or androgynous with about the same amount of male and female energy. This applies to both incarnated souls and spirit guides.

With incarnated souls (us!), the gender of the soul may or may not match the physical sex of the person. This, however, has nothing to do with the person’s sexual orientation.

A woman with a male soul may be happily married to a man and have several kids. With the extra male energy, however, she may enjoy working outside the home as an individual, rather than staying home and assuming the traditional role of a homemaker.

Likewise, a man with a female soul may be straight. If anything, the extra female energy may make him a gentle nurturing figure, and maybe a great dad.

Few incarnated souls have androgynous souls. Androgynous souls are highly advanced souls.

Past life gender and sexual orientation

Souls incarnate in various ways to see this world from different angles, so you are likely to have been incarnated as both man and woman. Again, this has nothing to do with your current sexuality or sexual orientation.

In the specific case of the client who asked the aforementioned question, he had a soulmate contract with a soul who is now incarnated as a man. When I told him about this, he immediately knew which of his past lovers I was talking about. (As I wrote in that linked article, soulmate contract is very harmful.)

However, this only sets him up to have one relationship with a man. One homosexual experience / relationship doesn’t make a person homosexual.

So, my conclusion as Akashic Record reader is that the soul has nothing to do with sexual orientation. I don’t even know if a soul recognize another soul by the gender — it recognize each other by the overall energy.

Homophobia in the 21st Century!?

I am totally pissed off to read the news in which words like “gay” is used derogatively. (HT: Hunter Nuttall) What is it that is bad about loving someone, whether the person is of the same sex or opposite sex? Tell me even one good reason.

I think homophobia is about the fear of our own sexuality. Because sexuality literally strips us “naked” to who we really are. Someone with tons of money and high social status? Who is this person without such decorations? Someone who has tons of knowledge and can say all the right things? Let’s see how this person acts when they are naked.

With men, I think there is an additional fear of not being needed by women. Most women are bi whether they are aware of it or not. For women, pleasure only takes to be touched the right way — penis is not necessary but only optional. This is true even in heterosexual sex — it’s so much easier for a woman to have orgasm in outercourse than in intercourse. (If you haven’t figured this out, well — experiment a bit for a pleasant surprise ;)

By contrast, most men seem to be either straight or gay, not bi. So straight men have difficulty understanding gay men. And straight men, needing women for their satisfaction, wonder: What happens if many women figure out they are bi and men’s treasured tools are only optional? Then they have to attract women by their personality. Ah, how scary. Many people (both men and women) are still not aware of their innate charm and power.

Movies to think about love and sexual identity

I’ve always loved watching “gay” movies because they ask critical questions about love. For example, have you watched these?

The Birdcage
Toward the end of the movie, the “wife” and drag queen (Nathan Lane) asks the critical question to the very old-fashioned senator, father of his son’s fiance. I can’t find the exact quote, but it was something in the line of, “You liked me. You liked who I am. You liked what I had to say about politics, you liked dancing with me . . . What is the difference (whether I am a man or a woman)?”

Brokeback Mountain
Are people born to be gay or are some people recruited? And again, what is so wrong about being gay? The movie shows breath-taking scenery, cute and sensitive guys, and ugly women who do cliched “sexy” things like wearing shorts and high heels. So heterosexual sluttery is fine but not homosexuality? Come on.

The Wedding Banquet
Directed by the same director Ang Lee, who also directed Brokeback Mountain. This is a cute comedy in which traditional Asian values meet American lifestyle, leading to something productive. I really like the ending, which is a kind of polyamory of two gay men and the mother of one of the guy’s baby.

Transamerica
This movie is about MTF (male to female) transgender. A week before her final surgery, Felicity Huffman learns she fathered a son. She spends the week with him traveling across America (I don’t know why they didn’t just fly) without telling him about their biological relationship.

The movie asks the same critical question: Isn’t it who you are that matters, not what gender you are? But then, gender also matters — that is why there are people who go through the transgender procedure. Aaaaagh . . . we are not quite so simple. . .

Victor Victoria
Not really a “gay” movie because Julie Andrews is only pretending to be a man. The guy who falls for “Victor” still has to overcome his inner resistance to go for a man. Great music and sense of humor ^_^

Recently, I noticed I never watched lesbian or bi movie. Isn’t this strange? The above movies were blockbusters and I watched them not because they are gay movies but because they are good movies. And what happened to the female equivalent?

I researched in NetFlix and watched the following:

If These Walls Could Talk 2
This is an omnibus of three stories. The first story is about an elderly lesbian couple who have been together for probably 50 years or so. One has an accident. Her companion (Vanessa Redgrave) can’t see her at the hospital’s intensive care because she is not a family member. She stays in the waiting room all night in case anything happens to the patient. Next morning, she finds her companion passed away during the night. No one let her know. She can’t even say the last good bye to her companion, who is practically her spouse.

Then the relatives of the deceased come and tell her she needs to move out of the house they lived together. Even though both paid toward the mortgage, the title is under her companion’s name, and the Vanessa Redgrave’s role has no legal right to stay there. This is not what her companion wanted — they agreed that, if anything happens to one of them, the other can stay in their home. But in the end, because they were not legally married, the one who just lost her love of life also loses her house.

I don’t think you need to be pro-gay to see the wrong of this scenario. You only need to be pro-love.

Kissing Jessica Stein
I like the humorous setting — a straight girl responding to a woman’s personal ad out of curiosity, who also never had lesbian relationships. I don’t like the hypocrisy of the leading character. Her girlfriend leaves her because she doesn’t want sex so much. This is understandable — sex is important for this woman and she wanted to be desired. The leading character then turns around to a man and says, “She dumped me . . . I guess she wanted someone more gay.” (Quote may not be exact — I’m writing from my memory.)

Hmm, I guess gay men have a lot more to say than lesbian women.

What do you think about our sexuality? In the spiritual context? Please share in the comment.  Thank you.
