I've really been noticing that when we get angry and scream and shout, or mope around and feel sorry for ourselves, we secretly have a great payoff for it. #4 really strikes home – and I think most importantly it applies to many internal things as well. I’ve really been noticing that when we get angry and scream and shout, or mope around and feel sorry for ourselves, we secretly have a great payoff for it. Even though we might say we don’t want to feel this way, we (or as you say the ego) secretly gets a big payoff from it.
