I am on the wave, I guess. Jen at Millionaire Mommy Next Door gave me the honor to guest blog. Please read My post Do You Have What It Takes To Build A Successful Coaching Business? there. Millionaire Mommy Next Door is an exciting blog about personal finance, investments, and now she has a series for self-employment. I love her down-to-earth no non-sense attitude.

Thank you Christine.
This post only outlines the major requirements of a good coach and their challenges, but I’m glad you liked it.

Alli, you are welcome.

I have received several inquiries regarding how to start as a coach. After you read my article, here are some action steps:
1. Experience coaching. How can you possibly become a coach without knowing the benefits of being coached? Hey, it doesn’t have to be with me — identity key challenges in your life, and find a coach who specializes in the field. I may be able to give some referrals if you need help finding a good coach.
2. Learn what it takes to become a successful entrepreneur. This includes learning about marketing — identifying your niche, branding, networking, etc. This is my niche, as you see in this blog. And there are more resources — check Resources page .
3. Check if coaching training is for you. I think there are plenty of ads on this blog (I don’t endorse any of them — just to let you know). Certification is not a requirement, but it will help you understand what it is all about.
